Tesla Model X: Innovating for the Future

By: Nick H.

In the past, electric vehicles were uncommon and considered by many to not be an option when buying a car. Tesla has lead the way in electric vehicle innovation by producing high quality, fast, and durable cars. Tesla's newest option, the Model X, comes equipped with many features that are not available on any other vehicle.

One of the most impressive features of the Model X is its "Falcon Wing" doors. These doors are more than just for good looks. The high-opening doors make is easier to exit the car when parked in tight spaces, and not having a door on either side of the opening makes it much easier for elders and young children alike to enter the car.

Equally as useful is the seven passenger seating inside this vehicle. Tesla claims that there is easily "room for 7 + gear". When not in use, the third row seats can fold flat and make room for extra storage. The second row seats will also lean forward for additional storage.

Acceleration is another thing to consider when buying this car. This car totes a respectable 3.2 second 0 to 60 mph time (with company upgrades). Also, the car has an "Active Safety" system that constantly scans for cars surrounding the driver. The Model X can automatically apply the brakes to prevent a collision. To add on to this, there is an air filtration system that comes with every version of the car. This helps filter out pollution from the air coming into the car.

  1. What an interesting post! I find the doors very interesting in particular. It is pretty cool that there are door that are easier for children and elderly, and that make it easier to park in tight spaces without risking hitting another car with a door.

I really enjoyed this post!! I had no idea a car with such features as the quick acceleration, and "Falcon Wing" doors could ever hold 7 people. I had always associated these features with small and compact sports cars that no one would dare to squeeze more than 2 people into. Thanks for the great post!
