Jaguar set to release its fastest car

By: Nick H.

Jaguar has always been known by many to be a car company of luxury, style, and sport. Throughout the years, their cars have competed with some of the top selling sports cars on the market. Jaguar now intends to outdo themselves as they release their fastest car ever, the F-typle SRV coupe.

Specs:
The F-type has plenty of credibility for all the commotion it has been creating. Its top speed comes in at an impressive 200 miles per hour. Even more impressive, its 0 to 60 miles per hour time is 3.5 seconds. Not only that, but the car also comes in a stylish convertible option, with a top speed of 195 miles per hour.

Under the Hood:
The engine of the F-type is more powerful than the majority of their previous models. A supercharged  5.0 Liter V8 engine is used to propel the vehicle. This engine will be able to produce 575 horsepower. This is higher than the 550 horsepower that Jaguar's current top sport car reaches. The F-type also has an 8 speed automatic transmission.

Jaguar enthusiast will claim that in the past, a more powerful car, the  XJ220 was built with both a higher top speed, and a quicker acceleration. However, Jaguar only produced 300 of the XJ220. This means that is does not qualify as a general production vehicle, as the new F-type does, reinforcing the F-type's reputation as the fastest production vehicle from Jaguar.

The F-type comes it at a starting price of $126,000. Compared to many sports vehicles, which can go well beyond two or three thousand dollars, the price is not as expensive as many would think with such impressive specs.

    1. I agree. While Jags are great vehicles, I personally don't find them worth the money.
